REGISTRATION
Answer your call to glory! Gather your team of 5! Register! Get a cart! Trick it out! Get acquainted with sabotage rules & fund-raising opportunities... Prepare for a huge dose of EPIC, all we ask of you in return is to BE EPIC and finish the race with at least 49 lbs of non-perishable food in your cart. To fend off procrastination and make race-day logistics actually doable, there will be NO walk up registrations allowed; in fact, we are closing registration (i.e. no new teams or name changes for registered teams) two weeks ahead of the race. As with every year, there is a tiered registration plan, so register early!
- $45/team, January 15th - 28th
- $55/team, January 29th - February 11th
- $65/team, February 12th - 18th (REGISTRATION CLOSES February 18th)
Registration is limited to first 150 teams registered and fully paid, all others will be put on a wait list. No exceptions.

FUND-RAISE
We still lay claim to being "Probably the World's Largest Mobile Food Drive."Our philanthropic efforts address urban food and hunger challenges by partnering with organizations that provide immediate hunger relief (food pantries, etc), and sustainable food empowerment through urban farming and education (new for 2012!).
- Food Donations - The Chicago Anti-Hunger Federation has CLOSED ITS DOORS, thus we will not be raising funds nor food for them in 2012. We’re excited to announce our 2012 food beneficiary is the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
- Financial Donations - In the past, both food and funding have gone to the same organization. NEW FOR 2012 - We’re finalizing a partnership with an organization focused on solving hunger problems and food deserts within Chicago through education and urban farming. We plan on setting up our online fundraising pages to benefit this 501(c)3 organization. This is HUGE and we’re super stoked.

CHITWITTEROD PRIZE
This is a repeat-repeat performance on a favorite prize from last year... after all, taunting the competition via social media is kinda fun. If you have a Twitter account (chances are someone on your team does), then we'll be watching the tweet feeds for the most outrageous mentions for Chiditapimping, leading up to race day. The team or volunteer with the most non-bullshit Chitweets will get their hands on some glorious schwag prizes and plenty of hot action. You MUST use the tag @chiditarod to be heard.
